I'm compiling my yearly shopping list and planning to upgrade my home network equipment over the next few months. Up until now I've searched for an AP and a switch, keeping the ISP router as is (WiFi turned off). I'm aiming for a 3x3 MU-MIMO AP (compatible devices available) and an 8-port gigabit switch with LAG management. So far I've identified some options, but since I'm just starting out, I'm still deciding which brands are best. AP: After checking, the Unifi AC lite/pro doesn't support MU-MIMO. I found a ZyXel NWA1123-AC HD that seems suitable, though I'm not familiar with the brand. Switch: Initially I thought about the Tp Link T1500G-8T, but later discovered the ZyXel GS1900-8 matches it. I also saw a Netgear GS108Ev3 in results. I'm not looking for PoE devices yet. For the switch, I'll use six ports for wired connections and just one port for the AP in a small apartment (80-90m²).
