Hi everyone, I've noticed this strange issue where the save or upload dialog always freezes for about three minutes, making it unresponsive until it recovers and then resumes normally. I'm using ExplorerPatcher on Windows 11, but removing it hasn't fixed the problem. No one else seems to have faced this before. Any suggestions or possible causes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Check the Event Viewer under Computer Management to find drive-related errors. You should see entries indicating problems with a specific drive.

Having hard drives in your system is typical, and you might notice a delay when opening save or load menus. For me, it usually takes about 10 seconds—time the drive needs to wake up from sleep and reach full speed. If the dialog lags for several minutes, inspect all your drives to ensure they’re functioning properly. (Did you remember to back up anything?) You can use tools like Crystal Disk Info or similar programs to view diagnostic data. Another option is to disable Windows’ automatic sleep setting for hard drives, which reduces energy use but can be enabled again later. The aim is to identify why your computer slows down. Good luck!

Reviewing my drives was a smart decision, thanks! It turns out the server isn’t connected in the pinned folders of the sidebar, which was causing the problem. Taking it out resolves the issue and lets the dialog open immediately again. Likely it attempted to connect but failed, so you’re all set now. Thanks!
