Hello, a few years back when Windows 10 came out, I planned to upgrade my laptop to Windows 10 since it was free if I had Windows 8 at that time. However, after the update I encountered an error stating (No Boot Device). I’m still puzzled because I can’t recall whether it was “No Boot Device” or “No Boot Drive,” making me unsure if the hard drive is damaged or just corrupted. I attempted to reinstall using a USB drive, but when prompted, it suggested choosing a drive labeled “Drive 0.” It then displayed “No storage” and said I couldn’t create one with more than 0MB, which confused me. I tried opening the Command Prompt to reset things, but it incorrectly selected the USB drive (XSmile as the primary drive, then reported an invalid drive error when I tried to plug it back in. Now I’m unsure if my laptop supports Windows 10 or if my drive is faulty. INFORMATION CPU: Intel® Core™ i7.4500u @ 1.80GHz HDD: WDC WD7500BPVX-22JC3T0 Product Name: Aspire E1-572 Manufacturer Name: Acer Note: This laptop was purchased in 2013 or 2014.

Yes, you can transfer the drive to another PC and attempt to reformat the partition table there.

It's a laptop, which makes the process a bit tricky. I'll give it a shot. When I start the installation via USB or something similar, I can access my PC and find a drive named "Boot." If I connect a USB, it appears there. I can also try connecting it directly to my PC.

Start from a Linux USB drive there you can access your hard drive (if it's still working). Also, most laptops allow you to replace the hard drive easily. Find out more about your specific model.
