My recommendation: Maintain the DSL modem in bridged mode on the Archer C7 as a router. Keep WiFi active, but ensure it operates on a separate frequency from the Unifi AP. If using Unifi AP (or ZyXEL supports this), place it centrally in the apartment or at the far end. Connect an Ethernet cable from the router to the PoE injector, then another from the injector to the AP. A network switch functions at the OSI layer 2 level, so the router is responsible for IP routing.
