I’m seeking suggestions for a fresh headset within a reasonable budget. I've investigated several options but am hesitant due to conflicting reviews. Currently, I use the HyperX Stinger, which has served me well for two years, though the mix feature recently ceased functioning. I’m considering three headsets specifically: the SteelSeries Arctis 5, the HyperX Cloud 2, and the Corsair Hs70.
The MicMic represents an improvement over the Cloud II microphone, though it wouldn’t be ideal for professional recording applications. While I can't vouch for the DT770s specifically, they are likely to offer reliable performance when compared to typical gaming headphones. Nonetheless, these headphones are primarily designed for musical use, which could be a drawback for gamers. Certain users still favor simulated 7.1 surround sound options, such as those offered by the Cloud II models.

The Cloud IIs consistently represent a reliable option, particularly when prioritizing comfort. They’ve performed reliably for extended periods since their initial release.
Will this microphone work well with a gaming headset on the Cloud 2s?
