I successfully located every RJ45 port in the newly moved-in house at a single location. The existing cords lack sufficient slack for pulling them out of the ceiling and connecting to a switch. Can you find a method to extend cat6 cables so all ports can be linked again?

You can obtain punch down couplers, likely the optimal method for this task without needing to rerun the cables.

Based on the distance traveled, using existing cables as pull cords might be more practical. These adapters require an investment, can reduce signal clarity (which might be an issue for future multi-gig needs), and could become a reliability concern.

Finish both connections with RJ45 (current and new) using a coupler. Don’t worry about signal loss until you encounter problems. Note: The punch set works too, but it’s difficult to install. I use them for my wires and wish I hadn’t. They also need a special tool and the plastic can break easily.
