Greetings to all! I’m seeking assistance locating a video game from my childhood. I've been trying to track it down for several years without success. I believe I experienced this game between 2000 and 2005, running it on Windows XP. It likely debuted in the 1990s or early 2000s, possibly even earlier. It was a side-scrolling 2D platformer designed for younger players. The central figure involved was a tall mouse, and you progressed through multiple stages before confronting the final adversary. The levels mirrored the structure of "Donkey Kong" (1981), featuring stacked platforms above one another.

These platforms were a light brown color, adorned with verdant grass at the top – resembling segments of earth reminiscent of “Goodbye Aliens Action Platform,” but with a softer, rounder design and a lighter shade. Each level contained several opponents scattered across the platforms that needed to be defeated. I can’t recall their appearance, but they appeared to be smaller animals or unusual entities associated with the main mouse character. I’m unsure of how you neutralized them, but I believe shooting was involved somehow.

Following a series of completed stages, the boss encounter would commence. The antagonist was a large teapot possessing eyes and a mouth, moving vertically across the levels with little to no horizontal movement. I recall that its attack involved leaping and descending onto the ground, forcing the player to jump to avoid landing directly on the floor when it did so. It's possible it had additional attack methods, though I cannot recollect them. If you perished, you would be removed from the game area.

While my memory may not be entirely accurate, I am certain that a teapot served as the final boss in this game. Whenever it prepared to jump, steam would emanate from it. Thank you for your help!

Explore online archives for a past webpage where users could specify desired qualities for video games and receive a list of matching titles. I encountered this site sporadically—it might no longer exist or have been altered. Nevertheless, utilizing those original search parameters will yield numerous outcomes. Furthermore, a particular website brought to mind the concept of “abandonware,” which you could incorporate into your searches.
