Noted, the market is currently offering a low price for these kits. Investing around $1,000 to purchase ten units of G.Skill Ripjaws V could be a reasonable starting point. Keeping one while planning to sell the rest later makes sense if you believe the value will rise. Since you're new to online reselling, consider starting small, researching demand, and using reputable platforms. Keep track of prices and market trends to make informed decisions.

I don't see a point in getting 10 kits, if you need one, then one kit will do the job. we don't really know how prices are going to be in the furute.

Other opportunities exist for better returns, especially since technology changes quickly. When prices rise again, those items might become less popular once DDR5 is available.

I believe I just need one kit, thinking this could be a solid investment chance. That’s why I’m checking if it’s truly at an all-time low and whether prices will keep rising from now on. Linus mentioned it might be linked to Covid and sellers piling up memory storage, creating a market surplus.

Unless you're forecasting a memory shortage next year, I wouldn't go ahead. I wish I had purchased some AMD shares earlier this year when they were around $30, but now they exceed $80. Or the Kodak stock that dropped below $3 to rise above $30 in just a few days.

Based on current trends, the first DDR5 releases are expected in 2022, though adoption will likely be gradual.

No one can guarantee it with complete confidence. It's similar to putting money into stocks. Avoid funds you can't afford to lose and be ready to wait a long time for any payoff. Of course, it's tough to foresee how prices and interest will change. The reason prices have dropped is because those professionals made an incorrect move—believing demand would rise. But that didn't happen.

Maybe not a shortage, but I'm pretty sure we won't see prices this low in a while. Let's assume it won't be a 50% increase in price, but even with a 25% increase (that's the price going back to normal) that's still a good profit margin.

Physical technology tends to lose value quickly, rarely retaining much worth.
