Choose boards from the Ivy Bridge generation like Z77, H77, B75, Q77 instead of older Sandy Bridge models such as Z68 or P67. Also opt for an Ivy Bridge CPU (like the 3770K) rather than a Sandy Bridge CPU (2600K).
