Hello everyone, here’s my setup for gaming and light AI tasks like Stable Diffusion in the future. I’m still figuring out the best CPU cooler if it isn’t ideal. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks!

Approximate purchase date: next month
Budget range: around $2900 including tax
Primary system use (from most to least important): gaming; occasionally Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Matlab; future AI tools such as Stable Diffusion?

Monitor: No
Do you need an operating system: Yes, but it’s not listed here
Preferred online stores for parts: taobao.com, jd.com, and brand websites

Location: China
Parts preferences: I plan to switch to an AMD CPU. NVIDIA GPU is preferred because of its AI features?

Monitor resolution: 2560*1440
Additional notes: I play StarCraft 2, Age of Empires series, DOTA 2, single-player games, Baldur's Gate 3, etc.
And most importantly, why am I upgrading?
My current small SSD and 1070Ti aren’t enough for gaming.

PCPartPicker part list:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
($557.77 @ Amazon)
CPU cooler: Deepcool LT720 85.85 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5
($279.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair Dominator Titanium 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30

Apart from that optical drive, you're good to go! You might want to get a better answer by stylizing your thread with info asked of in this thread; *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice First off, respect where respect is due - this is an adaptation of the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I created this because there's a lot of posts nowadays asking for upgrade advice both on here and on the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. so the community can chime in with worthwhile suggestions. I noticed you have a Deepcool product listed, they aren't available in USA...which is where this site and most of it's user base are located. If you're not located in the USA, then please include sites that show what you have access to. I suspect this isn't a US-made build (Deepcool isn't allowed there). All functions operate fine, though I notice areas where savings could be achieved without hurting performance. If you're not in a rush, you can rely on the integrated graphics that come with that CPU until the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB is back in stock. By the way, the PSU listed below is ATX 3.1.

Thank you very much! I will adjust my post to fit the sticky thread. A few questions remain:
1. What issues are there with the optical drive? I intended to use it for CD playback and burning.
2. Living in China, I’m not familiar with any similar sites there. I usually rely on recommendations and verify availability individually. I plan to check CPU cooler suggestions and pick the one that’s in stock.
3. My original idea was to use a 2 TB SSD for both OS, applications, and games. Do you think it would be better to split them into two drives?

Thanks! I live in China, which is why I went for deepcool. It seems you changed my HDD to an SSD, right? Does this mean nowadays buying HDDs is really unnecessary? Actually, I'm still using a 2 TB HDD, so I included it for reference. For the GPU, I don't think I'll buy the 50 series because of connector problems with the 5090 and 5080. I also thought about the 7900XTX, but I was concerned it might not be future-proof, especially for AI work.
