Hello, I'm trying to figure out some issues with my PC. The game Black Desert Online keeps crashing, and support provided a tool to find the problem. I'm not sure how to understand it or fix it. I also ran a system repair command that fixed corrupted files, but the error returned the next day. There might have been malware from a Discord server promoting free nitro, possibly affecting my computer. I performed a factory reset the same day Windows Defender warned me, and updated my BIOS using the Asus tune wizard. I'm hoping for repair suggestions that don't require replacing parts.
The game ended abruptly without any alerts or messages. My system has 4x 8GB RAM, but testing showed 10k errors.
Identify one or more faulty memory modules. Power down your system, clear all RAM cards, place a stick in a slot further from the CPU, and rerun memtest. Persistent errors suggest either a defective stick or a problematic slot. Disconnect the faulty stick, try another slot, and repeat the test. If all slots show issues, the problem lies with the RAM module itself. Proceed to the next stick and continue the cycle through all four. Errors typically appear within 5-10 minutes for a bad stick, usually taking about 30 minutes per card. Also verify that voltage settings match the specifications—incorrect voltage can cause failures even if the stick runs at the correct frequency.
