I need a fun MMOFPS or MMORPG to try. Share any titles that fit your taste—feel free to post them! For MMOFPS, a progression system is essential: think battlefield, cod, tribes. Advance by playing matches and earning experience points that unlock new weapons, perks, and upgrades. I’m open to buy2play or free2play options, but not to pay-to-win unless it’s through premium purchases or grinding 50-100 matches for a weapon. Regarding MMORPGs, I enjoy games with wide AoE spells allowing you to tackle 20-40 monsters at once. While I appreciate colorful visuals like in WoW, FlyFF, or Tibia, I’m comfortable with more mature graphics. A strong community is key. I stopped playing WoW, FlyFF, and Tibia because they’re largely inactive in terms of players. I’m okay with premium features like customizable characters or slight advantages such as higher XP gain or drop rates, but not with games offering massive XP boosts (like x10) and steep drop penalties after spending a lot. Blacklight Retribution offers a solid experience. It's free2play with a small pay2win component that isn't overly problematic. You can unlock all game features yourself after reaching a sufficient level. The pay2win section mainly features flashy but impractical skins and taunts.
MMOFPS - if you have a console. try destiny. It is really good. But you will be late to the party, so grinding your way up will be atrochius. MMORPG - Guildwars 2 Ive played it for almost 3 years soon. great game. There was a recent expansion, and atm, if you buy the expansion you get the base game too. THE BASE GW2 GAME IS F2P ATM. Expansion costs like 40 bucks or something.
