A KVM lets you connect more computers from a single keyboard/mouse/monitor setup. You mentioned using a budget GPU for the panel. Are you certain NVIDIA drivers won’t fail if you combine both NVIDIA and AMD drivers, then install the AMD ones afterward?

I possess an RX 580 but I'm wondering what the difference is compared to using built-in graphics. If there are any conflicts between Nvidia and AMD drivers, they will remain. I repeated the DDU process, installing AMD drivers first then Nvidia, restarting each time. The GeForce drivers also fail, but I noticed that unplugging the monitor and switching to integrated graphics restores them. When I connect the monitor back to the motherboard, the others become inactive and many options on the left side of the Nvidia Control Panel vanish.

Well, mixing NVIDIA and AMD GPUs isn't a good idea. That's why DDU was made to handle everything first, before trying the others. You probably learned the lesson that way. Intel IGPS would work, or you could use a secondary NVIDIA card.
