Hello everyone. First of all, Happy New Year to all of you. I’m having an issue with my PC build. For quite some time now, I’ve been getting LiveKernelEvent 141 and LiveKernelEvent 1b8 , both related to my Gigabyte Windforce RTX 5090 OC graphics card. The issue happens at completely random times: the monitors suddenly go black and the GPU fans ramp up to 100%. It can happen while the PC is idle or under full load—there’s no clear pattern. All of this started after I installed a new PSU. Previously, I was using a be quiet! Pure Power 12 M , which unfortunately died after only six months. This time, I decided to go with something higher quality and purchased a Seasonic Prime PX-1600 . I couldn’t figure out the cause for a long time, as I tried just about everything. Eventually, I removed the side panel from my Antec C5 case and noticed that the crashes stopped completely. Most likely, the issue was that the 12VHPWR cable was being pressed against the side panel , with not enough clearance. Now I’m stuck in a loop trying to decide what the best solution is: Should I buy a new case with enough clearance to properly fit the GPU, which is 150 mm wide , plus an additional ~40 mm needed for the 12VHPWR cable ? Or should I buy a 90-degree power adapter for the cable? I also considered mounting the GPU vertically, but in that case my Arctic Freezer 36 air cooler would be in the way, which would force me to switch to an AIO. I know the cheapest option would be the 90-degree adapter, but Seasonic told me they no longer produce those cables and suggested trying CableMod instead. Unfortunately, I’m not even sure CableMod ships to my country. I’d really appreciate your advice on what the best course of action would be in this situation. Does anyone, from personal experience, know a case that definitely has enough side-panel clearance for wide GPUs? I’ve already contacted Antec regarding the C8 , and Lian Li regarding the O11D EVO XL , asking about GPU clearance and the maximum supported GPU width, but I’m still waiting for responses from both. I’m a big fan of dual-chamber cases , so I’d love to keep that aesthetic if possible.

Obtain the ThermalGrizzly Wireview from DerBauer. It includes a 90° adapter and provides extra amps on the wire for safety. Although costly, it's worth it as a 5090.

Great to hear! I wasn’t aware of this adapter either, but it sounds like a useful find. I’ll definitely keep it in mind.
