I’ll try testing various game engines until I locate one that supports my project.

Preferences: Open-source, works across platforms, no strict limits on resolution or frame rate.

I’m also seeking communities or experts who can help. While you might not have the ideal solution, sharing references is welcome. Maybe a more specialized forum exists? You’re also allowed to leave comments on the sources I’ve checked:

This was my original approach for a top-down game. I didn't complete it afterward.

Create your own game engine using any programming language and libraries you prefer.

I'm not a coder, so that choice doesn't sound very attractive.

This idea is straightforward but has some challenges. You might want to explore Construct 2, which offers a free version. Build the game yourself to your skill level. Set up a Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaign to raise funds, covering costs like a business license ($429.99). Once funded, you can produce the game on multiple platforms and earn profits.

My business license is $50 when it's solo. I don’t qualify for Kickstarter since no special rules exist for intuitive thinkers. Honestly, age matters.

I reviewed it, but it seems more challenging and not as easy for beginners. Still, I’m not sure.
