I've never worked with video editing before* I was hoping to discover a tool that's both powerful and impressive. It should also work smoothly on my setup, not too concerned about rendering speed. I'm using Windows Movie Maker and Adobe After Effects, so I'm not very familiar with the latter.

I’m currently using the Adobe Suite and completing a training course on Premiere Pro CC 2015.
