your build settings are set for performance, but the temperatures you're seeing are quite high. the 7000 series does tend to run hot, so it's possible your thermal throttling is triggered. with three front intakes and one rear exhaust, airflow should be good, but other factors like cooling fan speed, ambient conditions, or BIOS settings could affect performance. check if the fans are running at full speed and ensure there’s no obstruction in airflow.

The parts list remains confidential. It's typical to encounter an 85C in a Ryzen 7000 processor while playing games.

I frequently encountered 85°C with my 7700x, but still maintained it during CPU-intensive games. Using a 7600x doesn't pose a problem. You might want to boost the fan speed for extra cooling or experiment with a CO (Curve Optimizer) undervolt at -25 or -30. I tried this on my 7700x and noticed an average temperature drop.

85c isn't that high, and Ark is famous for being extremely efficient.

damn right its awfully optimized lol. it doesn't have an option to limit fps in game so it uses the whole gpu unless i set a cap with game commands or changing a file.

When I got my 7700X, yeah, Ascended feels like a greedy party. Hopefully, someone makes a decent dinosaur game like that!

AMD processors will continue increasing performance until they hit thermal or power constraints. This mirrors how Nvidia handles GPU boosts. As a result, the CPU tends to stay consistently around 80 cpus, which isn't a major concern unless your BIOS has settings that limit it earlier.
