Hey everyone, so I’m planning to use ExpressVPN while I’m in Europe for a while. I’ll need to stay online all day and will likely be checking my phone for the internet. I intend to keep the VPN active the whole time and have some security tools ready. Here are my questions:

1. Has anyone tried Tor for everyday browsing? If so, what were their experiences? I was thinking about using it for personal banking or social media, even though those services will be behind a VPN. Is this a smart choice? Could I run into any problems?
2. My laptop is new and only has basic apps like games and launcher programs. I know reinstalling Windows is the safest way, but would it really be worth it? Or should I just reset Firefox completely for a fresh start?
3. Are there any extra add-ons or programs you’d suggest adding while I’m away to boost security? I’m aware of risks online and want more protection for things like passwords and banking info. Any mobile tips would be appreciated too. Thanks!

Using Tor to reach your bank is highly discouraged. It often signals a compromised account and can lead to immediate account suspension. Avoid this method when not at home.

I understand your concerns. After reviewing my knowledge, I realized I had mixed ideas about Tor. It's true some people use it for everyday activities to enhance privacy, not just for accessing the Dark Web. This made me reassess my assumptions and feel more confident after checking. Thanks for the guidance!

Thanks for the suggestion. Switching from Google to DuckDuckGo has been a good start, but you have valid concerns. I’m considering using a VPN for privacy and security. If needed, I’d also like access to a fully secure system for sensitive tasks.
