Hello! I'm trying to help a client whose operating system is damaged and doesn't seem to fix itself. The BIOS can't locate the boot file, rebuilding the MBR didn't help. I'm considering copying data from the user settings folder to the PC after reinstalling the OS, hoping it will work. I understand that only Edge can access the data from Microsoft servers, so I'm worried about potential conflicts during the new installation. I'm unsure if simply replacing the folder with my own files would be enough. This process might be complicated for someone like her, who isn't very comfortable managing system information outside of autofill and browser saved passwords. If anyone has suggestions or knows whether this approach could succeed or fail, please let me know. Thank you!
