There’s no straightforward method to restrict folder changes while keeping access intact. You can’t fully lock the path but still allow users to manage files within those folders. Online solutions often don’t offer this level of control, and disabling inheritance is tricky without affecting shared settings.

Yes, users can no longer reach the subfolders within that main folder.
