Hello, I tried using Bit Locker as a security step and deleted my password. Now I can only log in with my USB stick. Can I still enable Bit Locker to lock the PC while it's running? Like normally pressing Shift + L to lock it, then coming back later? Thanks!

Bitlocker appears just once at startup. During sleep or lock state, the drive gets decrypted and the key stays in RAM. You can still secure the PC using your regular password.

I was seeking an alternative to passwords, and BitLocker came to mind.

I need some additional components, I'll look into the smart card information. Appreciate your support.

I could possibly give it a shot. I also checked that page on Amazon. I'm unsure if it works with Windows login.

The file you received allows Windows login, but I find the fingerprint scanner more convenient and refined. It seems safer since someone could steal your USB key and unlock your computer. Just keep it connected, and you're all set. You can also use a USB extender to have the scanner nearby at all times.
