OpenIV has been a well-liked tool for some time now. We've used it for Max Payne 3, GTA 4, and GTA 5 in particular. Could you please support this petition and assist us in getting it back? This is part of our passion, and without it, Grand Theft Auto becomes dull. We rely on it to avoid hackers in GTA Online and enjoy custom mods in singleplayer—it's secure and perfectly fine. OpenIV doesn't endorse online modifications. Please sign the petition and thank you. Link
You mainly complete a signature form once you have all backers. Then it is sent to Take Two Interactive via email.
Another example... Petitions won't help here if Open IV had a chance; he’d have hired lawyers and challenged Take Two’s weak arguments about Open IV threatening GTA Online. T2 didn’t provide any real evidence—just vague statements. TB made a detailed video explaining the errors T2 made.
Maybe if this was a small indie game struggling for awareness, where word-of-mouth and storefront presentation were everything, Steam review-bombing would spur some action. But a game like GTA V lives or dies on sales. And if anything, I've heard there has been a small positive effect on sales, possibly due to all the sudden publicity. I don't believe for a second that Take-Two/Rockstar are suffering in the slightest.
