Secure and dependable remote access option
I’m seeking a trustworthy and protected remote access tool. While TeamViewer is widely used, it requires a license and raises privacy issues. You might consider alternatives such as Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) with proper encryption or specialized hardware like PCIe-based solutions that offer secure connectivity.
there is remote desktop in windows that works well here. Can you do port forwarding? Do you care if paid. Normally vpn in and use rdp for the most security
Hello, I'm using a VNC server for remote desktop access. You'll need to set up port forwarding here. You can choose the port you prefer. The connection is secured with 128-bit encryption, which adds a layer of security.
Explore options similar to the one at https://guacamole.apache.org without spending much. Then utilize that service to connect remotely to your servers via RDP, VNC, or SSH. If you need to invest, set up a Windows RDP gateway and remember to buy CALs as well. Compare the expenses of Device CALs versus User CALs, or if you're not in a business context (personal use only), just consider Teamviewer—it's free for personal projects. There are minimal privacy issues as long as systems remain secured and workstation-level protections are maintained.
