Hello, I recently upgraded from a 256GB SATA SSD to a second 512GB M.2 NVMe drive. Currently, I have two M.2 drives from the same brand, PCIe Gen 3 x4 NVMe, both running NVMe 1.3. My ASUS Z-370-f gaming has two M.2 slots, but only one is recognized. The second slot isn’t showing up in BIOS or Device Manager. I’ve tried changing the settings, switching M.2 to PCIe mode, disabling SATA ports, and even rebooting, but it still doesn’t appear. The new drive also doesn’t seem to work with any of the NVMe ports I’ve connected before. I’ve also tried swapping the M.2 drivers to opposite ports.
The top M.2 slot connects to SATA_56 ports (positions 5 and 6), while the bottom slot links to the SATA_1 port. Ensure no devices are connected there.
Have you attempted to re-enable the features and noticed any improvement?
I attempted multiple settings, but unfortunately nothing changed.
It's strange, I think I missed something because I reinserted a M.2 SATA slot, and it got recognized once I switched to M1 SATA mode. However, the NVMe M.2 device still doesn't activate... I tested it on another computer and it works, so that's puzzling.
