Second NVMe unit for ASRock B450 Fatal1ty Gaming K4
Hey! I tried setting up my NVMe drive on the ASRock B450 Fatal1ty Gaming K4, but it didn’t show up in BIOS or Windows. I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, two 8GB ADATA cards at 3200MHz, and a Corsair Rm750x. I’m using an ADATA SX8200 Pro 512GB as my boot drive in the Ultra M.2 slot and plan to add an ADATA Legend 710 1TB for games and files. The manual mentioned the second M.2 slot only supports PCI 3.0x2 or SATA, not the PCI 3.0x4 I have. Should I look for a PCIe 3.0x2 card or switch to SATA M.2?
Two lanes instead of four indicates reduced bandwidth, it will operate more slowly. Are you using the newest BIOS?
Do you also use a hard drive connected to SATA port 3 or 4? Since the M.2 slot isn't enabled, it might not work.
