Second monitor is hidden from view
Having trouble connecting a second monitor to my brand new PC and feeling like I've tried everything else. My computer uses an AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT card that has one HDMI port and three display ports, so all of them are working fine by themselves. I swapped out the cables back and forth between both screens multiple times and even cycled a display port cable through each connection to make sure they were tight. After turning it on, I checked the connections again. I also tried using a VGA cable, but that only connects to the motherboard, so my PC probably isn't ready for that yet—something else needs to be running for it to work. One tip from a Reddit forum was to disable AMD Crossfire and enable clone in the Adrenalin Edition software, but those options aren't available on my version of the program. The same software says all drivers are already up-to-date with no updates coming through it either, and Windows Update isn't showing any changes. I tried clearing the shader cache as suggested elsewhere, but that made me pull my hair out. Any ideas?
Hey, thanks for getting back to me. I had two HDMI ports and one display port, and they all worked on my work computer (which was different from the new PC). Luckily, I found out what model that old PC was and downloaded the right driver. That fixed it, so we can stop worrying about this one thing!
