This seems unusual. My Firefox icon on the taskbar appeared as a folded piece of paper instead of being missing. I searched for solutions similar to what others did, like restarting the PC or reinstalling Firefox. The third suggestion was about clearing the icon cache by deleting a file in the AppData folder. I restarted my computer, logged in without a black screen, and accessed the console to restore the file. It worked. The icon returned the next day, but I’m curious about what’s inside the iconcache.db file and whether it should be handled carefully.
