I'm considering a used GIGABYTE B360M D3P and an Asrock B365M IB-R. Since LGA 1151 sockets are rare for new boards, I'm opting for a refurbished option. My setup includes an i7 8700 from a mostly unused old PC and a used RX 5500 XT. Please let me know if any other boards around this price ($90 CAD) might fit well, or share your thoughts on the ones listed.

Be aware that your RAM speed is capped at 2666MHz on these boards. When browsing online marketplaces such as Facebook, look for Z370 or Z390 models to achieve higher RAM performance.

I already possess 32 gigabytes of 2666 data from the scraped office PC.

For that situation, I suggest the ASRock motherboard. The Gigabyte boards don't have a VRM heat sink.

There seems to be a compatibility concern. The RX 5500 XT uses PCIe 4.0, while the motherboard supports only PCIe 3.0. This mismatch could cause issues, but it might be resolvable with a simple adjustment or upgrade.

Yes, the PCIe updates are accurate. Fortunately, PCIe maintains backward compatibility, so you won’t face any issues. The graphics card will function using 3.0 mode.
