Most children easily grasp how to play Minecraft, finding it enjoyable much like building with LEGO. Terraria, on the other hand, feels more like an adventure game that would be impractical for quick sessions. Simple enough.
I managed to grab it quite smoothly, though my brother said it would take a little more time. Still, you should be able to pick it up without too much trouble.
