I have been a gamer for the past 5 years and I am really into music! The only thing is, is that many games that are made don't have anything to do with music other than the soundtrack! Now these are the games that I have found to be very good/creative, and are pleasing to use/look at. (Listed in order from how I like theme) 1. 140 By Jeppe Carlsen his game is an awesome platformer that has an awesome soundtrack. The whole games soundtrack is at 140 Bpm which may be self explanatory. This game has 4 levels that have 3-5 phases in which you are a triangle, circle, cube, and you can't touch the static that moves to the beat of the game. Also if you hare a more competitive gamer there are four other "mirrored" versions of the same four levels, but you can't die. 2. Geometry Dash Robtop Games This game IS a rage game but this game has a lot to do with the music of the levels. almost everyone knows about what geometry dash is so I don't need to describe it. 3. Audiosurf 1 - 2 Dylan Fitterer This game has a very special place in my heart, mainly because this game is the whole reason I have a steam account. Audiosurf is a game where you are a spaceship and you use your own music to create the level you play in. This game has many different game types and there is also a leader board per song you play. Audiosurf 2 is the same idea but a better menu and graphic ability. 4. Beat Hazard Cold Beam Games Beat Hazard is sort of like Audiosurf but it has a bigger influence from asteroids, you know, that old school arcade game? Beat Hazard also uses your music to generate how you play but, unlike Audiosurf, Beat Hazard only generates the difficulty. 5. Symphony Empty Clip Studios This game also uses your music to generate the difficulty of the level but has more of a story. The premise of this story is that a "demon" has infected your music and you have to travel through the track and eradicate him from your library. This game is fun but can get boring after awhile. As of right now (8 / 24 / 2017) These are the only games that I know of (or remember...) but if you know any others I would love to hear em. Also if you found a new game here that you liked then, Awesome! I'm glad I helped another person find some awesome games! ([Edit 1] now I don't have to powerful of a computer. so I barley am able to run these games, but if other people come across this post then post any games that are music related for others to enjoy!)

Starcraft II features lively tunes. It doesn’t imply you must enjoy every track, yet numerous players say it’s the sole sound they really hear while playing, as it often signals important events.

Super Mario 64, Pokémon RBY/GSC/RSE/FRLG/DPPt/HGSS/BWB2W2/XY, Dragon Warrior 1-9 offer excellent music throughout the titles. Final Fantasy 1-13 is solid, with a few exceptions in my view. For remixes, Legend of Zelda is a great choice. I also suggest Dark Souls if you're looking to craft your own soundtrack for tracks like "How Many Ways Can I Cry and Yell After Dying?" or "NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL BULLS##T".

Are you seeking advice or clarification? There are numerous rhythm games available. You can check the store at http://store.steampowered.com/app/247080...croDancer/ or explore the tag page for Rhythm at http://store.steampowered.com/tag/en/Rhy...TopSellers This particular title is offered for free to play on store.steampowered.com/app/349720/Audition_Online, which I used to play in 2007/2008 or OSU! https://osu.ppy.sh/

I appreciate the ideas about soundtracks, but I was aiming for a stronger focus on the core experience of the game. Thank you for all the suggestions!

His idea about Crypt of the Necrodancer was perfect. The game is quite fun, though it demands a lot of focus and quick reflexes. You need to match the music's beat, and missing a beat results in losing any rewards you've collected.

The crypt of the Necrodancer remains unseen to me. I’ll definitely examine it further.
