If it fits your budget, the Netgear M4300 line offers flexible stacking with full L3 and OSPF support. I’m using two GbE switches—one PoE enabled and one not—for connecting endpoints, giving me six 10 Gbps ports. There’s also another rack-mounted stack delivering a large number of 10 Gbps ports. For higher speeds, especially 10 Gbps, these configurations are quite economical, though they’re less suitable for 1 Gbps ports.
