Hello! For smooth x264 encoding at 1080p or 720p with 60fps, you’ll want a decent processor. An older i5 3450 or i5-2400 should work if you’re okay with mid-range performance. Make sure they’re at least 3rd generation for better results.

I’m barely managing with my 4770k. It really depends on how good the build is. I’d upgrade to something like that and add an 1060. The gameplay and streaming quality will determine what hardware works best.

Yes, we're discussing 1080p at 60fps, just the streaming setup. You mentioned you lowered the frame rate to 40 or 48 to ease some strain on the encoder.

The frame rate stayed steady, not affected by the lower settings. The encoding load is mainly CPU-dependent, so I’ll stick to presets that balance performance and quality. I aim for top visuals without overtaxing the processor.
