To find a 750W or higher power supply, check your motherboard's specifications for compatible power ratings. You can also search online forums or manufacturer websites for compatible options.

Most power supplies over 400 watts require sufficient backing—like an 8-pin CPU or at least one 8-pin PCIe connection. Why do you require 750W? What devices are you feeding?

The PSU with a minimum of 1080 Ti according to Nvidia's site is rated at 600W for the standard FE model. An Asus OC version would probably require even more power.

You're right, a solid 550W unit works well. I'd go for an Corsair model in the RM range.

You don’t actually require an 850W unit. The main need would only arise if you had several GPUs, which is no longer a common configuration.

Is it strange? Because you're asking the right question.

You're likely to find a much better 650W power supply such as Corsair RMx or Bitfenix Whisper at a lower cost than the Corsair TX850W.
