Hello! I have an Intel i5 8600K and am searching for a better motherboard. Right now I’m using an Asrock z370 Extreme 4, but I need one with built-in Wi-Fi and an RGB header since my new MSI Aio requires at least one. Any recommendations? A white or black build would be ideal. Thanks for your time!
Finding a four-generation motherboard at a fair price can be challenging. Ebay and online forums are the best options. Why purchase a Wi-Fi PCIe card when you could use a standard one? Your AIO doesn’t require an ARGB header, so it should work just fine without it. I suspect you’re after something with style. You might find an ARGB controller that’s much cheaper than a brand-new compatible board, which connects via the USB port on your current motherboard. I don’t really use RGB, but Corsair has examples of controllers that could work as alternatives.
You can purchase a 10 dollar cheap wireless network USB with a 4 pin RGB header. A compatible RGB controller would work well for this setup. As mentioned before, old motherboards are difficult to find and often a waste of money. Buying a new motherboard just for an RGB header would be a mistake.
I own a wireless network USB stick, but it only functions correctly on the front IO. Usually this wouldn’t matter, yet I also have a Bluetooth dongle that works only in the front IO. My setup has just one USB port on the front and a Type C port elsewhere. Either my Wi-Fi is bad or my Bluetooth controller keeps lagging—both are frustrating for gaming. Ethernet isn’t an option, and there’s an issue with the RGB lighting for my CPU cooler. Yes, I really want that RGB to work perfectly.
