It doesn't run as a full emulator but supports all Windows apps and binaries. Use WINE to load them properly. Avoid running pure Windows programs needing Sys 32, as they may not work.

I don't want to pay or deal with insider builds. Those feel like betas, right? And I don't really mind Windows 10. I'll use it.

I love Linux Mint. It's a versatile choice. If you're curious about deeper details, but not ready to jump to Gentoo, Arch, or Angevo, exploring lower-level options could be enjoyable. (You'll appreciate working with the basics.)

The most basic work I've done so far involves a severely messed-up CentOS setup. (My brother needed Minecraft installed, but the process didn't include graphics drivers or Java.) I'm excited about using this approach with other operating systems.
