I've looked through many cards, but compatibility issues are common. Reviews keep mentioning problems like constant disconnections and performance drops. You're seeking a reliable option that lasts, not just for a short time. The Realtek 8821AE you have is designed for laptops, but it's been struggling under load since your brother gave it to you. Many users are now seeking alternatives to ensure stability and longevity. Consider checking out other trusted brands known for durable networking cards if you want something more dependable.

This explains the meaning of the term and clarifies that "5G" refers to a mobile network technology, not the Wi-Fi frequency band. It also notes the distinction between 5G and 5GHz WiFi.

I lose connection to the Wi-Fi and when I try again, it fails initially but succeeds on the second try. My friend suggested it might be due to overload, mentioning testing on a big Roblox server where I disconnected quickly, while in a smaller group with just us there was no problem.

Zyxel EMG6726 B10A offers dual-band performance at 2.4+5 GHz with a range of about 10 meters and 5 bars. The "Wi-Fi Status" section displays updated drivers at 433 Mbps. This issue appears unique to me, but here are additional details about the router.

You're asking about the specific band and configuration of your device. Are you linked to a particular network? Does ZyXel use the same SSID on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels? Which frequency bands are active? At which channel widths is this happening? Some older cards struggle with higher 5GHz ranges. The support guide for Realtek adapters mentions it's a WiFi 5 device, supports single-stream mode, and should work fine. However, the issues you're facing might stem from something else. Consider using WiFi Analyzer or WiFiman to check the channel usage. If nothing adjustable is possible, upgrading to a card with better 5GHz support could help, especially since your system already supports WiFi 6. Adapters based on Intel AX200/210 should work, but verify the physical connection matches your PC's slot.

I looked for the ban information but didn’t locate it. The "Preferred Band" feature isn’t available.
