Searching for a game that offers tuning options, upgrades, drag races, and possibly drift races. It should also be straightforward enough to manage while keeping your toaster running smoothly.

Try running games at reduced levels. That’s the closest match I could think of besides Forza, or perhaps something like Need for Speed.

starting the download, it's 20GB on the drive. Someone mentioned they can run it with the stock video card from an XPS, so I guess it should work. Sounds really promising!

I believe the newest version is good, though I've heard some negative opinions about it too.

The latest match truly offered a refreshing change to the series. The open world design makes it simple to switch between different racing experiences. While this feature can be disabled, they've included two free expansions and resolved several original problems—such as the absence of cop presence—which has improved with one expansion added.

the experience would feel real, but it's quite costly too

The latest version (6) is available on the windows app store in beta. It performs really well. I’m hoping for a full release with a career mode instead of just the tour features they have now. Like everyone else, I’d like to upgrade my car and other things as I progress. The simulator aspect isn’t enough for me. On the other hand, I’ve been playing it for the past two days and I really enjoy it.

I share the same thoughts—I've been checking out YouTube clips and I'm really excited to try it. I'm starting with Project Cars now, and the game feels quite strong.
