It seems your old Billion 7800N is nearing the end of its life due to the failing WiFi card. I’ve set up a temporary network using your server as an access point—no MAC filtering needed, which was frustrating. I’m searching for a new 1/10Gb router with integrated vDSL modem for better BT FttC/FttP control. I need detailed stats and interleaving info since my connection remains unreliable. Security features like firewall, wireless MAC filtering, and domain filtering are important. The signal still reaches through walls and floors, but it’s patchy, especially in the kitchen where powerline adapters helped a bit. A WAP/WiFi AC would be ideal, but I’d prefer A/C if possible.
