I'm searching for a better router to replace my current Netgear Nighthawk AC1900. I've been using it for five years and have faced some problems, like occasional disconnections lasting about a minute. This happens when playing R6S on the same network as my roommate in a squad, and it only works if I use my school VPN. I'm considering the ASUS RT-AC3200 and TP-Link AC4000 (A20). Are either of these well-supported or do you have any solid suggestions for alternatives?

You'd get a great deal with an Ubuiqiti Edge Router X, an access point, and they need a little configuration, but the benefits are well worth it.

I'm using the Ubiquiti AP Lite and it easily covers my whole apartment. I'm in the furthest room with two walls and a few barriers between me and the AP, but I still get 270 to 300mbs—my full speed always. They also have the AP Pro, which I haven't tried yet but it provides a stronger signal and longer range.
