Hey, do you intend to get a new CPU soon? It might make sense to buy a new motherboard and CPU together. The latest Intel chips use the LGA 1200 socket, while AMD uses different ones. You could technically get an LGA 1151 board now, but it wouldn’t let you upgrade to newer or better models than the 9900K.
