You're facing some challenges with your motherboard situation. Since you've already purchased an LGA 1150 board from eBay and encountered issues with a broken pin, it's understandable you're cautious about spending more. The platform you're using is solid, but finding a reliable source for a used or refurbished board can be tricky. Here are a few suggestions: look into specialized forums or communities focused on motherboard repairs, check reputable online marketplaces that offer verified sellers, and consider reaching out to experienced builders who might have insights. Always verify the seller's reputation and reviews before making a purchase. Let me know if you'd like help crafting a search query or finding trusted sources!

This item is a reasonably priced Asus B85M motherboard designed for Micro-ATX systems with DDR3 LGA1150 support. Buyers note it offers good value on eBay, emphasizing the importance of checking reviews—preferably with at least 3000 ratings and a 95% satisfaction rate.

I've been shopping on eBay for a while now, but it's becoming increasingly tough to spot red flags. The seller I bought from had 5000 reviews with a 98% rating, yet I still ended up in trouble. Last year I also tried purchasing a used Hyper T2. The photos seemed genuine and everything looked good, but I received an Intel stock cooler inside a Hyper T2 box. My experience was similar when buying RAM for my laptop—everything appeared fine, yet I got a generic 2GB stick with an 8GB HyperX label. They're getting really smart, and I'm starting to feel pretty uncertain. The board you received looks decent, and the seller seems reliable, but after everything I've experienced on eBay over the past year, it's hard to trust anyone. Now that my board is having strange problems, I'm either too cautious or looking for another trusted source for used parts.

I've had a fortunate outcome. I steer clear of international sellers, particularly from China, when purchasing second-hand items. Limited transparency.

I often do too, perhaps eBay has always been this way and I used to be much luckier.

I noticed the motherboard you shared comes from the same vendor that sent me counterfeit RAM.

Great move staying cautious, but with a bit of doubt.
