I develop front end web applications and enjoy gaming. I'm searching for a compact gaming laptop that outperforms my current portable device, which you linked here. I prefer options that avoid bulkiness, overheating issues under the keyboard, and limited USB ports. Ideally, I want at least 32GB of RAM or a model with a single 16GB stick that can be upgraded to 32GB or more, along with a GPU capable of handling mid-to-high settings games. My budget is approximately $1800. I specifically avoid HP products due to past disappointments.

Front-end coding needs minimal resources, allowing you to concentrate on the gaming side. For this budget, I’m considering MSI and Lenovo.

For instance, trying to eliminate "cooling systems that generate excessive heat beneath the keyboard" would require more weight, since thin laptops often lack powerful coolers. And the absence of USB ports is simply part of their design. As you shrink the size, the available space for ports naturally decreases.
