I'm seeking a replacement for my Logitech G810 because it's been acting up lately—key duplication and loss of backlighting on certain keys.
I really enjoy the volume knob and the tactile feel of the keys, and I need a wired board.
From the specifications, it seems they use Romer-G, which weighs around 45gf linear.
I’d prefer to maintain that same feel, especially since the cherry reds fall into that range.
I checked the Das Keyboard 5QS, but I don’t want anything with cloud connectivity or software dependencies.
Their site says: “A developer can communicate with a Q device via a cloud or a local (desktop) API. Both API are compatible.” That doesn’t sound right for me!
Ducky boards have some good volume control, but they lack a volume knob.
My Logitech experience has been inconsistent—backlight issues started months after purchase, and I’m hesitant to trust their reliability.
What alternatives should I consider?
Full-sized models with backlighting (RBG would be ideal, though solid color is fine if needed)
Approximately 45–50gf linear weight, similar to the G810, and likely Cherry red or comparable
Volume knob and mute key similar to the G810
No need for cloud services; prefer local or open-source solutions only
Require a wired connection

This Cosair keyboard features the K70 RGB PRO mechanical design with PBT double shot keycaps in cherry red. It seems like a solid alternative, and many people have shared their thoughts on it. Would you like to know what others think?

I've used several Corsiar keyboards, performing just as well as other models from similar brands.
The DAS Keyboard also includes one with a volume knob

I decided to go with the Das Keyboard and used it without the software. I also tried the Corsair, but I didn't like it.
