I purchased a refurbished G2 SFF and am looking to replace the chassis. I was considering upgrading to a full ATX with more PCIe slots, but for the sake of this project I’m stuck without any compatible motherboards. I’m reaching out to you all for assistance. Could you help me locate a Full ATX motherboard that supports an i7-6700 CPU? It should have at least 64 GB of RAM, which is important for my music production work. I’m targeting a budget around $250 CAD. Thanks a lot!

Z170, H170, B150 or Z270, B250 (7th option, but also works with 6th). The socket is 1151v1, not 1155. I wouldn't spend $250 on a motherboard for such an old CPU—you could get a 12100 board for less. PCPartPicker list: Intel Core i3-12100 3.3 GHz Quad-Core ($119.99 @ Amazon Canada). Motherboard: ASRock B760 Pro RS/D4 ATX LGA1700 ($121.01 @ Vuugo). Total: $241.00. Prices cover shipping, taxes, and discounts where available. Created by PCPartPicker on 2023-12-07 22:40 EST-0500.

Are you browsing existing listings or searching for something fresh? Realistically, there aren't any genuinely new options available. The platform is outdated and not suitable for current needs. As @Tetras mentioned, it's better to invest in a brand-new device, which would also give you a warranty. You might even be able to sell your old CPU to help offset the price of the new one.
