I recently acquired a used computer from 2008 for $40 (win 10 pro) intended for light tasks like YouTube, Python, and emails. The first issue was that the file explorer didn’t appear in the start menu or Cortana search, though it remains accessible via a folder on my desktop. Secondly, Chrome won’t stay pinned to the taskbar after shutdowns, while other applications do. I’m using Windows 10 Pro version 15063.1387 and am updating soon. Any assistance would be very helpful.

To include Explorer in the start menu, simply add it to Explorer or set a shortcut on the desktop. You can also assign a keyboard shortcut like Win+R followed by "explorer" or "C:\".
