I experienced problems with two laptops at home. A Dell XPS 13 and an HP Pavillian Plus 14, both using Windows 11. I connected to a 600 mps fiber via an Orbis mesh router. When I visited the Google homepage, Gmail wasn't accessible. Searching in the Google search box also failed, showing "not connected." Bookmarked links worked perfectly. Only the laptops connected through Wi-Fi were affected. My desktop, with an Ethernet connection and running Windows 10, was unaffected.
I attempted to clear cookies and reinstall Chrome, but that didn't resolve the issue. I performed a ResetThis PC in Windows 11 and rebooted the router. One or both devices fixed the problem.
Someone might have an idea about what caused this issue. It's odd that bookmarked items worked while the laptops had Wi-Fi, but Google searches and Gmail didn't. I'm just trying to understand what happened.
