Back in the past when I only had a basic computer, I enjoyed this racing game. It was quite challenging, and I often struggled to keep up. The main issue was forgetting the title (T^T). I’ll try my best to explain it if anyone has played it before. It’s a 3D game likely developed in the early 2000s by a small team. In the game, you upgrade your car only by winning races. The races are essentially battles between you and an AI opponent. To start, you and the AI must exchange car parts, and if you win, you receive a new part from the AI. I remember that your car usually parks somewhere, while enemies close in to test you, and everything takes place at night. I searched through Wikipedia and other sources but couldn’t locate it. If anyone has experience with it, please let me know.

Is it a genuine racing simulation or something tailored for drag racing enthusiasts? I’m sure you won’t be let down once you try it. I used to play NFS Porsche as a kid—it offered impressive visuals and smooth gameplay. I stumbled upon a similar experience on YouTube a few years back, though it’s tough to spot a car clearly in those limited frames.

It's a solid racing simulation, really challenging to master. If I recall right, it's around 400MB... Not NFS Porsche, I’ll revise the details since the races take place at night.

Is it a night of chaos or just another story?

It seems like you're trying to recall something from the 90s, but the name is unclear. It might be a product or model from that era that you're thinking of, though I can't identify it precisely.

It seems it's designed for PC. For PS1, there was a game called Midnight Run in 1998. On PC (and PS1), Motorhead came out in 1999. (EA DICE and Digital Illusions CE produced it, with Fox Interactive as publisher. Midnight Racing followed in 2000, developed by IncaGold and Bright Star.) I think you're referring to this one. Would you prefer something from IncaGold, especially their Midnight Racing series?

It seems similar to another version of the same racing game you mentioned earlier—one known for its challenging gameplay and top-notch track editor. It might be a follow-up or an adaptation of what you were thinking of.
