You already have a functional VPN on the Oracle free tier with WireGuard, but it doesn’t support P2P services. You can set up a custom private VPN that allows P2P traffic by configuring it to route specific ports or use a dedicated tunnel for peer-to-peer connections. Check the VPN provider’s documentation for steps to enable P2P support or consider using a more flexible solution like OpenVPN with custom rules.

The purpose behind using a VPN isn't strong security for individual use, especially when the IP is unique. It doesn't really protect you if no one else shares that address. Commercial services boost safety by connecting many users behind a single public IP, making it harder to trace any single activity.

I aim to conceal information from my ISP since they limit specific activities such as peer-to-peer sharing.

I’d consider locating a place to install an OpenVPN server since it should support all needs. In the meantime, it might be simpler to rely on a commercial VPN service.

It seems you were frustrated and didn’t get the help you needed. Here’s a rephrased version:

Well, it looks like you didn’t get the response you were hoping for. Thanks for letting me know.

Taking that approach means no one will assist you. If you're dissatisfied with the response, consider seeking alternatives elsewhere.

You can fully utilize P2P applications with Wireguard as well. Simply configure port-forwarding on the WG server or implement a UPnP service there. Alternatively, turn off NAT and set it up as a site-to-site VPN instead.

You would set up the necessary configurations and services on your Google Cloud VM, then use the provided tools or APIs to implement the desired functionality.

If it's running Linux, check tools like miniupnpd for UPnP or iptables for manual firewall rules to enable port forwarding.
