Play Battlefield 3 or 4 with friends online. What you like today might not be the same tomorrow.

The Elder Scrolls universe, where Skyrim originated. Skywind is a reimagining of Morrowind built with the Skyrim engine. It’s not a simple translation but a full overhaul by players. I partially resonate with the Fallout series, though it requires effort to engage with. The Wasteland titles are also worth mentioning; I recommend them, though the first one is quite dated.

I'm just like you—same situation. I really enjoy playing PC games, but console gaming doesn't bring me much satisfaction except for those late-night sessions with friends. Nothing about the consoles keeps me engaged.

It really hurts to tell you but I have roughly six times what you mentioned. I feel upset whenever I see how many hours are spent playing games.

To keep things fresh, try stepping away from the usual routine or simply pause. Those are the only two solutions I've discovered to stop burnout from gaming. Klei Entertainment delivers some excellent titles—consider exploring Don't Starve or Mark of the Ninja. They also offer Invisible Inc on Steam Early Access, a unique tactical stealth experience similar to Commandos but with a focus on covert operations. It’s quite engaging. For me, the best part was letting go of pressure about completion or beating others. Realizing games are meant to be enjoyable helped me fully immerse myself in whatever game I was playing. Recently I’ve been diving into Castle Crashers, Fallout 3, Payday 2, Don't Starve Together, Batman Arkham Asylum, Hitman Absolution, Halo Spartan Assault, and Xcom.

Return to gaming, Minecraft? I’ve logged around 700 hours there. I also enjoy games like Arma 3, Dayz, and especially Battlefield 4.

I continue working on the computer—it's my responsibility, and I enjoy it. What made it fun was being able to relax after a tough day dealing with difficult clients and then play a game on my PC.

I believe most classic games are enjoyable, but they just feel outdated. Newer titles usually draw from old ideas yet often release poorly or remain unfinished. The rare exceptions are Dead Space I & II, Crysis, and perhaps some others. Modern single-player games have suffered greatly over the past two decades. Today’s offerings are often reduced to shallow microtransactions, pay-to-win mechanics, limited-time content, and restrictive monetization tactics—truly disheartening. Some games like GW2 claim to honor old values but deliver deceit instead. I haven’t played an engaging title in years and don’t see much promise ahead.
