Hello, I've been relying on Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus protection but realized it isn't the best. I'm looking for some free antivirus options that work well without too much hassle. Apologies for the unclear writing.

The browser issue is usually simple to resolve. If it just appeared after installing an app or extension, delete it, restart the browser and it should disappear.

It's typical. Check your newly added software and remove any you don't remember. Also, examine your browser's add-ons for anything suspicious.
